Sharmella Ponnampalam
Chief Operating Officer
Joram Recruitment is owned and operated by Sharmella Ponnamapalam who studied Bachelor of Business Management and has an established career in recruitment most recently managing her own recruitment agency for the last decade. Her extensive network was built working closely with the automotive dealership business community across Gulf countries and has helped her grow her sizeable global network of automotive technicians and other skilled professionals.
Sharmella is passionate about working with communities and that doesn’t stop with businesses. In her personal time she proudly works with the New Zealand Red Cross assisting multi-cultural migrant people across the country for the last 10 years. She does this because she has a kind heart and loves connecting with people but it also helps her identify the key concerns and requirements of her candidates when they arrive in New Zealand.

Jereeth Abdeen
General Manager – Digital and Marketing
Jereeth started his career in 2004 and has over 15 years experience in various fields across the IT industry.
He holds Master of Information Security and Digital Forensics (Hons) and a Double Bachelor’s in Information Technology and BioScience.
Jereeth also holds certifications in Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cyberoam Certified Network & Security Professional (CCNSP), Sophos Certified Sales Consultant and Sophos Certified Engineer.
In his personal time Jereeth is an active social worker; President of NZSL Foundation, and recent President of The Sri Lankan Society of New Zealand.
He also has a passion for singing!

Sasika Silva
Senior Advisor People and Capability
Saskia is a highly experienced professional with over 10 years of recruitment and career guidance experience and 15 years of Human Resources experience at senior management level.
His qualifications include Batchelor of Arts in Management studies (Hons) and a Graduate Diploma in Specialist Business Management as well as professional qualifications in Human Resource Management.
In his personal time Sasika enjoys photography and traveling.

They ensure our candidates’ applications are presented to Immigration New Zealand in the best way possible and that the correct legal processed have been followed.

Aside from working with clients, Stewart is the Chair of the Auckland District Law Society’s Immigration and Refugee Law Committee. His wealth of experience in the trade unions in the UK, coupled with his knowledge of immigration and employment matters saw him selected by the government to be a member of the Migrant Worker Exploitation Consultation Group which recommended various measures to protect migrant workers in the workplace.
Pooja holds a Master of Law (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Auckland and is fluent tin Tamil. She has successfully been involved in many cases involving complex issues across domestic and international spheres. Pooja also advocates for victims of domestic violence in the immigration and family law fields.
